    Indonesia is gaining prominence as an emerging market economy, a rising democracy, and an emerging power with global influence. Despite its not yet being a member of the BRICS group, it is considered one of the largest Middle-Income Countries (MICs) in the world. Indonesia's economic performance is commendable. Global financial crisis notwithstanding, Indonesia maintained a 5.2% of growth in the last decade. As with other MICs, however, Indonesia is not free from the risk of falling into the "middle-income trap".

  • Kronologi Sidak Satgas Pemberantasan Narkoba Lapas Pakanbaru

    Sidak Satgas Pemberantasan Narkoba yang dibentuk Kemenkumham dengan Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) adalah upaya serius pemberantasan narkoba di lapas dan rutan. Dalam 3 bulan, sejak Januari 2012, sebelum sidak di Lapas Pekanbaru, telah dilakukan tiga kali sidak di Lapas Wanita Tanjunggusta, Medan; Lapas Narkotika, Cipinang; dan Lapas Pemuda, Tangerang. Pada semua sidak dengan BNN tersebut, Kemenkumham dipimpin oleh Ketua Satgas Pemberantasan Narkoba Wakil Menteri Hukum dan HAM (Wamenkumham) Denny Indrayana dan Direktur Penindakan dan Pengejaran BNN Benny Mamoto.

  • Partai SRI Selangkah Lagi hadapi Pemilu

    Berdasarkan draf Rancangan Undang-Undang Pemilihan Umum Anggota DPR, DPD, dan DPRD versi Tim Perumus per 22 Maret 2012, calon peserta pemilu harus memiliki kepengurusan di seluruh provinsi, minimal 75 persen jumlah kabupaten/kota di provinsi bersangkutan, minimal 50 persen jumlah kecamatan di kabupaten/kota bersangkutan, serta memiliki anggota sekurangnya 1.000 atau seperseribu jumlah penduduk di kabupaten/kota bersangkutan.
